THEATRE, SCHOOL TRIP AND YVIORE

Well a few things have changed since the 4 April and that is namely the snow is melting.  Gosh never thought I'd see the day, five months and counting.  It's amazing what a bit of sunshine does.

Samuel had his first play mid-April.  We were all so excited to watch.  My parents in law were here  with my nephew - Romain, so they trundled off with me to watch.  Samuel played the butler, and what an impressive butler he made, needless to say with 20 years behind us between me and Manu in the hotel business I managed to find a suitable costume.

The next thing on the itinerary was the school trip.  Three days an hour from here to a vacation place where they teach circus to the kids.  From the look of the school blog they seem to have had a ball.  No lions, elephants or talking parrots involved just lots of acrobatics and fun.

We didn't have small bags, it looks like they're going off for a World tour.

Ben in Green looking not so confident anymore.
 Mom don't make me go!!!!

So with no kids, no husband because he was in Miami on work and my parents in law at a loose end, we went to Yvoire, a medieval village in Haute Savoie on Lac Leman (Lake Geneva).  It's really beautiful.  All the flowers were out due to the divine weather we were having.  (Were because two days later it snowed).  I remember last year we had a mini heat wave at this time too and then it turned nasty for about two months.    The castle is lived in so no entry but you can walk around the town.  Nice time of year to do it too as there were hardly any people.  I can imagine in Summer it must be hectic.
