BACK TO SCHOOL ALREADY

Well it has been an eventful summer, one I hope I never have to repeat. I quit my business.  Yip my lovely little cafe in the park called Barabelles.  I worked my socks off since February and by the time August arrived I was ill, stressed and realized between me and my new business partner it would just never work.  A combination of laziness and dishonesty on her part led me to make an overnight decision to stop.  So I've been on two months sick leave until I sell my share to her.  I am glad I've made the decision but it's come with panic attacks and a bout of diverticulitis, but when you reach your limit I think you have to be true to yourself and reached it about three weeks before I stopped so have bad health as a result.  Anyway it's done, as my mother said yesterday the most important job is being a mom.  But my diverticulitis is back with a vengeance and now it's back to the surgeon to see how to cope with the whole thing.  I feel pretty rotten most days which is an annoyance having had almost two years completely free of pain or running to the loo every 5 minutes.  Anyway enough about all that stuff.

My parents have been here since the end of June and go home tomorrow.  They took the kids to London which was great and since then we've just been doing lakes and rivers and chilling.  They also went off to friends in Toulouse which was nice for them.

Kids are well and also enjoyed me being around for them.  We started Geochaching.  It's a great game and you just look it up on line and it's an around the world treasure hunt.  You key in your co ordinates and it comes up with all sorts of treasure boxes, some small, some magnetic, some big with clues on where to find them.  The kids love it.

Clue for Geo Cach in the La Fayet was it was magnetic

 I found it.

School started yesterday, same school and same teacher for Benjamin so no stress there, but Samuel got into a special needs class in a new school in L'Abbayee, which is a bit of schlep but we should have a taxi organized for him by next week.  I was so nervous for him but when I fetched him yesterday he had a smile on his face for the first time every since he attended school.  I was so happy for him.  Lets hope it's a good year.
